Disney has a new Cirque du Soleil Show and it is called Drawn to Life. I personally have been to two previous shows called La Nouba and Luzia. They were both very entertaining and whimsical.
Drawn to Life is about a girl who is being helped to draw better and to be like her dad whom was a great artist.
This Show was at Disney Springs in Orlando, Fl. Once you arrive you will wait outside by the staircase to be scanned in via your ticket barcode. Inside they have themed decor on the walls and they have food and beverages available.
We ordered the popcorn and Mickey Mouse Pretzel with cheese. The prices weren’t too bad and they had candy too.
We sat in our assigned seats and where we were seated was still a good view but sitting in the center area is a lot better for the experience. In the beginning they have an interactive mini show for the kids and then the actual show begins.
The lighting was very dim and the props were very clever. They made you feel like you were in a book. They had various performers but no animals or fire or water elements were involved. It was a lot of dancing with acting and acrobatic performers. Our favorite were the girls dressed as fairies with the unicycle’s.
The show was almost two hours long but the time went by pretty fast. Afterwards we headed to the gift shop and purchased a magnet for a souvenir and added it to our collection of magnets.
Overall it was a good experience and a great idea for a date night.
Prices vary depending on where you sit, ours were $100 per person plus tax.
I recommend dressing comfortable with some flat shoes since it’s an indoor event and you will be sitting the entire time but to get to the building you need to walk a bit once you park. Bring a sweater or jacket as well to keep warm.
They don’t allow photos or videos with flash as to not disturb the performers.
Did you know Build a Bear has a specific Bear for Birthdays? And you only pay the age they are turning that month. I took my toddler who turned 4 on Valentine’s Day and we paid $4 for the Birthday Bear and $7 for the Birthday Shirt.
It is definitely a great idea to take your little one any day of their birthday month and let them accessorize their new best friend with various items available at the store.
Prices vary for the accessories and clothes but it was definitely worth the $12 we spent when we took my son. He had fun watching them add the fluff which he was able to help with by stepping on a pedal that blows air with fluff into the Bear.
They also have little hearts that make the sound of a beating heart or you can add a voice to the Bear. We just added a regular heart with no noise to it but it was such a cute touch.
At the end they give you a birth certificate for the Bear and a super cute Box that cost .75 cents to carry the Bear out.
The process doesn’t take that long but your little one will definitely remember this day and they can keep their new friend for many years to come!

To celebrate my husbands birthday we decided to go camping at Disneys Fort Wilderness Campground in Orlando,Fl.
It was our first time as a family camping with a toddler and a baby.
I will try my best to describe everything we packed and everything I wish we had packed to help you and your family have an easy camping trip if you ever visit Disneys Fort Wilderness.
The Campground has various places you can stay in, they have cabins, campsites equipped for an RV and also for a tent.
We chose the campsite for a pop up tent and brought a large tent we purchased on Amazon. I will be providing a link to all the items we purchased on Amazon. You are able to park your car there as well.
This was our Bushnell Easy tent and it fit 6 of us very comfortably. It was my husband and I, our 3 and 1 year old and two of my teens ages 14 and 16.
It has zippers that open and close for entrance into the tent and also for privacy window openings that have a screen as well to avoid mosquitoes or bugs from entering. I particularly liked the opening it had to place an ac unit as it was extremely hot when we went.
We also purchased a tent that came with a mosquito screen around it that you could zipper open. Screen house Canopy
The campsite has restrooms and showers at several locations throughout the campground. We still brought a pop up tent outdoor bathroom for when we had to go late at night we wouldn’t have to walk too far in the dark. We also bought a portable toilet seat to put in this tent.
We were able to place a full size mattress on our side of the tent where we had our toddler and baby sleep with us together and we all fit super comfortable. Our teens slept on the other side of the tent with two twin size air mattresses that were placed on a cot each. All of us brought our own blankets and pillows to sleep in on the air mattresses.
For the tent with the mosquito screen we placed it next to our sleeping tent and put a small foldable table and another larger table. One table we used for placing our portable grill and the other one was for cutting food and putting the plates and food items we would use. We also bought an outdoor rug for the front of the sleeping tent and one inside the tent that had the tables.
We purchased a mini refrigerator to keep the cold food in and a small cooler.
Fort Wilderness has a electrical outlet connection on all the campsites you can use and also a water hose. Don’t forget to pack a long electrical cord so you can charge your phones or plug in fans or a mini fridge.
We also rented a golf cart to roam around the area since a lot of the campground activities are far apart from each other.
They have movie under the stars and play a different movie each night.
There is a few pools you can access and a small convenience store where you can find milk and juice and also a gift shop.
There is a few places to eat at and they have horseback riding for adults and toddlers. We had our toddler go on a horse ride with a pony and it was around $8 and he enjoyed it so much it was definitely a moment to remember.
I might be forgetting a few things about the campground but let’s get to the list of things needed to camp with kids.
During the day we chilled at the campsite for breakfast and we had a hammock to relax in too. For my baby I brought a foldable high chair to feed her from and for my toddler a small kids chair for him to relax in.
A large outdoor rug is a must because the ground is rocks and you have to be careful with your little ones especially the babies that they don’t put any in their mouths. The rug we took was small and I wish I would’ve taken a bigger one for them to have more space to crawl and sit on.
Bring toys for them to play with, no technology is the best bet because we want them to enjoy the outdoors. Bring toys they can use like cars, coloring books, building blocks, binoculars for kids etc…
For breakfast having fruits and vegetables is super easy to store and the kids love it. We cooked scrambled eggs and turkey bacon on the outdoor grill.
Have plenty of bottles available for your baby and sippy cups for your toddler. Bring ziplock bags for everything! I used these to keep their snacks, small toys, hair products, soap, you name it.
The campsite does not provide towels so make sure you bring one for everyone. They do have washer and dryers that you can pay for and it’s next to the restrooms.
Bring your baby soap and shampoo and your own soap and shampoo for when you use the nearby showers. There is a air portable baby bathtub you can purchase for when you are showering you can keep baby next to you.
For lunch we went to the nearby restaurant and had the pizza, the food is a bit pricey so it was the only time we ate there. We were able to order Uber eats one day which was super convenient.
There are bugs and mosquitoes so don’t forget to pack some bug spray for your little ones and the adults.
Bring Sunblock for everyone when enjoying the outdoors.
Don’t feed the animals! There are a lot of different animals especially deers but you don’t want to feed them as they will surround your campsite for food.
At night we made sure we had solar lights around the tent so we can easily walk out when using the bathrooms. You can keep a small toddler toilet for your toddler in your space inside the tent so it’s easy for them.
One thing I wish I would’ve done differently was bring more storage space, we had a lot of clothes for the day and night and swimwear for the pool and we only had our bags. It was a hassle and a mess trying to get everything out and in the bag again. I would suggest taking some foldable boxes to place your items in and put them under your cot.
Comfortable shoes are a must when walking outdoors. You can have sneakers, crocs or sandals.
Don’t ever leave any food outside as this will attract animals during the night. We heard a few animals while asleep but I couldn’t tell what animal it was.
Keeping our toddler entertained was fairly easy as there is so much to see and do at the campground.
I highly recommend visiting and camping at Disneys Fort Wilderness and I hope you have a fun time with your family.
